Connecting Quadstick Controller to PlayStation 5: Brook FGC 2

Set-Up Difficulty: Easy

The Brook FGC 2 adapter is one of the simplest options for getting the Quadstick to work with the PlayStation 5. The Brook FGC 2 must first be updated to the latest firmware found on the Brook website. The Quadstick will also need to be configured in “Boot in PS4 Mode” and the “Titan 2 Flag” will need to be enabled in the Quadstick Manager Program to work with the Brook FGC 2. Then the Quadstick can simply plug into the Brook FGC 2 and connect to the PlayStation 5. When initially plugged in, the button that is assigned to the PlayStation button on the Quadstick needs to be activated to initiate the controller. Please see the video for step-by-step instructions.

Connecting Quadstick Controller to PlayStation 5: PS5MATE

Set-Up Difficulty: Easy

The PS5MATE adapter is a plug-and-play option that allows different controllers to work on the PS5. The Quadstick and the Xbox Adaptive Controller are not directly compatible with the PS5MATE, however they can be made compatible using the Magic-X adapter. The Magic-X adapter can be plugged into the PS5MATE and then the Quadstick or Xbox Adaptive Controller can be plugged into the Magic-X to be compatible with the PS5MATE. This system can then be plugged into the PS5, allowing either the Quadstick or the Xbox Adaptive Controller to work on the PS5. This is currently one of the simplest options for getting these adaptive controllers to work on the PS5 console. Please note that the touchpad can only be accessed by touching the side button on the PS5MATE when using this method. Please see the video for instructions.
