Connecting Xbox Adaptive Controller to Nintendo Switch

Set-Up Difficulty: Easy

In order to use the Xbox Adaptive Controller with the Nintendo Switch console, you will need an adapter to “trick” your Nintendo Switch into thinking the Xbox Adaptive Controller is a Nintendo Switch controller. The Mayflash Magic-NS or Brook XE2 Adapter will work for this. First, turn on Pro Controller Wired Communication by going onto the Nintendo Switch in System Settings > Controller and Sensors > Turn on Pro Controller Wired Communication. Then, simply plug the Xbox Adaptive Controller into the adapter and then plug it into the USB port on the Switch. See the video for step-by-step instructions.
